Der wohl frechste Soundtrack der Filmgeschichte – jetzt auf gelbem Vinyl

Monty Python’s Life of Brian – der zweite Soundtrack der Comedy-Ikonen – erschien 1979 parallel zum gleichnamigen Kultfilm und ist ebenso provokant, satirisch und brillant absurd wie der Film selbst.

Die LP vereint ikonische Filmszenen mit speziell aufgenommenen Zwischensequenzen von Eric Idle und Graham Chapman, die das Album auch produzierten. Eröffnet wird das Ganze mit einer schottischen Bagpipe-Version von „Hava Nagila“, ursprünglich für eine gestrichene Szene gedacht.

Der Soundtrack wurde – ganz im Geiste des Films – in Irland verboten, schaffte es aber dennoch auf Platz 63 der britischen Charts.

Die Neuauflage erscheint am 19. September 2025 als 1LP auf gelbem Vinyl – ein Muss für Python-Fans und Freunde des britischen Tabubruchs.
